The Hickory Grove Opry Farm Presents

America's Favorite Road Show Branson on the Road

Branson on the Road

In A Tribute to "The Burd Boys " Country Music Band

Branson on the Road

Branson on the Road is the kind of show you thought was long gone in this day of overproduced music, overused special effects and performers singing to tracks.

Featured on national television, Branson on the Road is in the same tradition as the traveling road shows during the glory days of the Grand Ole Opry, the Louisiana Hayride and the first Branson music shows...and now, Branson is coming to you!

The award-winning show will keep you tapping, laughing and smiling from opening note to final curtain. The fast-paced, high energy show will leave you with a smile on your face and humming a tune under your breath.

Along Hunterdon County's northern border in rural Tewksbury Township, New Jersey, lies a village of Farmersville, a place where legends are bigger then boundaries. Here, Old Joe Lee, the famous fiddler of Owltown, filled the air above the hilltop farms with his sweet sawing. More then 100 years later, five local boys got together to create their own music in Tewksbury and before long the Burd Boys were "Settin' the woods On Fire!"

What started as a Thursday night jam session in the barnyard of the family farm, has now become The Hickory Grove Opry Farm. The storage barn is used 3 or 4 days a summer in tribute by Ellie and John Burd to honor The Burd Boys, one of New Jersey’s most popular Country Music bands in the ’60s and ‘70s, and an important piece of New Jersey’s Country music heritage.

Our aim is to bring to you the best in today's Classic Country Music. We welcome people of all ages and cater to a family orientated atmosphere.  With the motto "Y'all Come" we hope that you will come out and join us for a great evenings entertainments.
